I am Dr. Mike Doyle, and I have been working for over 25 years with adults and young people who have offended or who are at risk of offending and who have a developmental condition such as learning disability, autistic spectrum condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as well as with adults and young people with a history of significant adverse childhood experiences and developmental trauma.
I now provide forensic psychology training and assessment services to organisations including social work criminal justice and youth justice teams that require help in addressing and managing risk-bearing behaviours.
I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a registered forensic psychologist with the Health and Social Care Professions Council.
Having graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Stirling in 1984 I went on to undertake research in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the Universities of Cambridge and St. Andrews. I completed my doctorate in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of St. Andrews in 1996. I completed an MSc in Forensic Psychology in the year 2000. I subsequently worked in forensic learning disability services in Scotland both in the community and in a secure forensic service for more than twenty years latterly as a Principal Forensic Psychologist and as Clinical Lead for Psychology.
